Even as the fight in California ratchets up, there's hope yet in some other states for state legislators to finally legalize marriage. New York, New Jersy, Maryland, New Hampshire and Rhode Island all look as is they could pass laws granting marriage equality to all state residents.
When I saw the headline, i was hoping Illinois would be on that list and become the first midwestern state to realize full marriage rights, but I suppose we still have too many hillbillies in the outlying areas.
