We will not sit back and allow our rights to be stolen from us.
We will not pretend as if this bigoted, anti-American, anti-gay measure did not pass.
The Christians forced their uneducated and unjust will upon us, and now that they are seeing that we are fighting back, have begun wondering why it is we care? Letting us know that we shouldn't take it personally, it's just a matter of faith is all.
Here's a matter a faith: I believe that everyone that has supported these anti-gay measures over the past few years will be publicly displayed and lambasted for their ignorance, intolerance and hate.
The movement has begun, and these bigots started it. Already we have seen protests all over California, and tomorrow there will be one staged here in Chicago that I will be attending. Believe me, I don't want to spend my Saturday afternoon yelling at an intolerant fool. I don't want to spend my weekend attempting to open people's eyes to our plight. I don't want to spend my free time defending that which should not be up for debate. But as has been shown to us, we cannot sit idly by any longer, because the evil that is moralistic judgment will creep in.
My rage is far from subsided. The rage of millions of LGBT people in this country is far from over. The churches have started a battle which I do not believe they are prepared for. The Mormon Church, who had to found their own state because of their marriage policies (seems to me like they are trying to pick on the little guy), and the Catholic Church, who can't regulate the morale behavior of their own clergy (I suppose it makes them feel better to regulate others then), have been the chief supporters of these measures, but just about every other Christian sect has supported them as well.
All I can leave this post with is that if you start a fire, you better damn well be prepared for it to rage out of control.
