Customer Reviews Hyperbole

If in your review of an establishment you state that you have been to the restaurant/bar/whatever a multitude of times and have enjoyed the experience every time except the most recent experience, then proceed to rate that establishment as a 2 star out of 5, and then say you will never go back, I will not take your review seriously.

How exactly is it that you enjoyed the food/service/atmosphere several times before, so much so that you returned there many times, yet one bad experience is enough to ruin it all for you? I'm looking at you, TripAdvisor reviewers.

I believe what you really mean to say is "I want to sound as if I'm an authority on this topic, so I'll make up an arbitrary story about how I've been there many times, then I'll discredit the place because they did not immediately bend to my will as I walked in." At least, that's how I read the review.
